4-Nitro Ortho Phenylenediamine (4-NOPD)It is mostly used as a raw material in the manufacture of dyes, both semi-permanent and permanent hair colouring products to generate brown, red and blonde shades on hair. Beside this, it is utilized as a photographic developing agent. It is a key ingredient in semi permanent hair color, where it is often utilized in a shampoo-based formulation containing alkalizers, thickeners and foam stabilizers. It plays as an important role as a percursor in the production of azo dyes, accelerators for rubber vulcanization and antioxidants. It is used as a raw material in textile industries for dyeing numerous materials.
